You can also drive through most fences and razor wire, as long as you do not try to drive through what looks like solid objects such as poles and so on.ĭriving in this game is BAD but it gets a little easier when you know what you can do. ![]() You often get stuck when something is in between your front and back wheels if you drive a truck, it looks very stupid when your back wheels obviously are touching the ground.Īnother tip is to experiment with what you can drive through and not, you can as an example drive through all tiny trees in a forest, it is only the really big ones that behave like obstacles. There are some fences that act as concrete walls and other fences that you can drive right through, this is true some with piles of mud too.Ī tip about how to pass over ditches and piles of mud is to drive at them at an angle to always have one set of your back wheels connecting to what you are driving over. What I find absolutely frustrating is that you can pass through some things but not others. Yeah, i understand there is 'Ah, its your fault it got stuck', i've seen a few tanks drive into a ditch and become one with the pond, but there are times where the environment or that odd barrel or fence does not want to pay nice with you which can become a real issue where the roads become a bit more narrow. Its usually due to collisions and the environment, forcing the tank into a weird environment where you have to sort of 'wiggle' the tank to get free from an odd spot. Jokes aside, is the vehicle and physics/collision at a state where nothing needs to be changed? Im glad that the HLL has improved has improved since last year, but everytime I've attempted to get people into HLL for what I think is a really impressive tank simulator by the devs, alot of my friends almost universally dislike the tank game play which is a shame since its so enjoyable. The way it is now, if you get stuck, it's your fault. I'd spend half my time in a tank either getting stuck or ramming friendly tanks out of being stuck. I am purely talking about object physics not being destroyable, so you end up with bushes or barrel that can stop tanks. ![]() What you're talking about is fine from a historic standpoint, which is that tanks break down from logistics and environment. However, it does make the game slightly more frustrating when you have to stop and think to yourself 'Will this piece of terrain obstruct me, and can i drive through it'. I'm complaining that tank can not drive down a path because a shrub bush is stronger than a tank track, or that certain objects physics such as a wooden fence is able to stop vehicles because they dont have realistic physics to be crushed/destroyed (Which is understandable, as there would be work and economic costs to tanks running over fences and stuff.) True, i'm not complaining if my tank got stuck in mud or my engine broke down because of engineering problems. ![]() ![]() Read about what the tanks and trucks experience in Russia during the "mud season."
